Happy 21st Chin Shyan!!!!
It was a cool party and an early Reunion for 05S11 though some never turn up.
We had fun at her party.
She was dressed to her nines..
We ate a lot..esp Sabrina.
Had fun playing 2 truths and 1 lie and the di-di-di game.
Wow..wow..there are also many laughter along the way.
And i really teared at a moment in time..
cannot remember..
I guessed we should organise a chalet sometime and get together everyone!!!

i didnt went to sch for the 1 hr lect.
feeling guilty.
instead went shopping with my fren @ bugis.
before that i went to temple and met aiting and her clique.
second time alr.
i also didnt went jogging today.
feeling guilty.
even though, i jogged twice this week alr.
in life, people portray many emotions.
some of these are forced by certain circumstances.
so dun feel bad when u lose control of ur emotions...
its a natural reaction.
dun go against it.
Let it all out and u will feel better.

On the first day of 2009.

we had a family lunch at changi airport terminal 3 at crystal jade shanghainese restaurant. we love to go airport as the place is very quiet and it is a nice place to chill. there wasnt many people travelling overseas as the place seems sparse.
this has indeed showned that many of us are hit by the financial crunch and has spend less on travelling.
i believed singaporeans love travelling as the life is very hectic here and its good to breathe the outside air. however, i am not referring to hong kong as the air in the city is quite bad. the air is very polluted!!! even though, the air quality is bad, i still love the shopping, food and night life.

On the second day of 2009.

I went out with 2 of my sub-commers to have lunch at waraku at the central.
it was actually meant to be a bonding session for them but most of them seems so busy and school is starting soon so they cant find time to come out. the food wasnt that fantastic as said by mum. was average only. probably at night it would be better. then walked ard clarke quay. the pubs are not opened yet and feel so empty. then went to liang court to shop too. all the jappy stuffs over there.

On the fourth day of 2009.

i had curl car wash at bukit timah. the dog ran out of the house and i had a painful shock. the dog didnt bite but still....very scary!
we managed to raise quite a few bit. the people over there are really rich.
caucasian babies are so adorable=D

why must heaven be so cruel to me?
hw many tests in life must i go through before i can be successful?
at my age, the concern is abt grades, results and good qualifications so as to ensure a good paying job.
even though, nowadays the employer also look in the non-academic areas but the reality is such!!!
take for example, a first class honours graduate will definitely get the job compared to the second lower class graduate.
suddenly, i feel really really afraid that i will fail in every aspect of life.
what is wrong with me????
why are things not going smoothly for me? or am i expecting too much?
i cant be greedy.
i feel so pessimistic about everything.
where is the ever confident u?
can i have myself back.
i hope i can withstand whatever obstacles that heaven has in place for me.

went for the last minute shopping with my aunt, granparents and cousins at chinatown.
my aunt wanted to get long john for herself as she doesnt have one and i presumed she also thinks that its gonna be super cold over at korea.
Heard that the temp is 2-6 degrees celsius.
Hmmm...i hope i can survive the coldness. I am sure i can as i am not very scared of coldness as most of my frenz would know.
I am only scared of dogs and insects. Hopefully, there arent any over there or else i would live in fear every night.
OMG...I AM so looking forward to the korea trip, the thrill rides at the amusement parks, the korean culture, the barbequed food, the hot and cold springs and shopping!!!!!

PLUS, i wll be having a 1 night stay at HK. gotta tink of where to go.

I am also sooo loooking forward to the pre-xmas party at daph's house. Be sure to make merry!!!!

wednesday was a day of shopping with Jessie and ks.
they can be good shopping partners as two of them really loved to shop and wont complain of tiredness until to the very end.
I know that it can be rather tiring to shop for 6 hours. However, we did have good and great buys.
We went to hunt for the xmas gifts, then we window-ed shop with ks buying the most stuffs.
Some of the clothes and shoes did catch my eyes, budden i couldnt bear to part with my money as i am saving up for the korea trip so that i can spend a bit more over there.
However, i wont overspend. I will restrict and constraint myself. I knw i can do it.
THen after like 4 hrs, we met with Sheryl and continue to shop at bugis street.
The clothes and shoes are pretty attractive. ks wanted to buy a pair of shorts and we were like searching high and low for her, but to no avail.
Some of them were nice but she got reservations abt the design and the price. hahaha...
was exhausted after a long day of shopping.....

gals really love shopping!!!! shopping mania!!

after i got home, i went for a short jog as i need to slim down so that i can indulge on friday and also on the following days at korea

Sat was CURL's karang guni. The collection of newspapers, old clothes, old books. In short, the recyclables.
The day started at 9am at the MACS at AMK hub. Everybody gathered there including the sub-commers.
The turnout was considered reasonably good. many of the sub-commers came including my gd fren Abigail. She is super nice. Together, with xiao hui, she volunteered to help out. I can see that she has the passion in doing volunteering work. hahahaha...
then, after the briefing, we are ready to go all the way out.
I know that it will not be easy. according to ryan we have 30 blocks to cover.
as we cleared 1 block, 2 blocks, 3 blocks.........till ard 2plus.
We had a lunch break. I doubt we can cope without the guys.
Then 10 blocks...15 blocks..we are like counting down to the time to 6pm as that is the time whereby the whole activity will end.
Loss count of the blocks as the time flies..with all of us sweating our heads out.
asking, combing, the worse part is encountering dogs..that one i really couldnt take it.
I am sure my frenz will know me well. I am super freaked out when i see dogs!!!
THen the day finally ended at 8pm!

ALL OF us are super exhausted! sense of satisfaction as we saw the piles of recyclables that we had collected!

Friday was out with sandar, Hui yi and Shirlene at Katong.
It was meant to celebrate sandar's pre 21st birthday.
We went to a Taiwanese restaurant recommended by Hui Yi.
It seems that she really likes the food over there coz she sounds enthusiastic.
Anyway, we were like only like the second batch of customers, only the boss and 1 worker.
Ordered our food with the help of hui yi coz me and Shirlene are first timers and not really sure.
ZHA JIANG MIAN was nice and good!!!! it was full of veg and with the noodles, it seems a really perfect combination. I guessed it is really authentic Taiwanese cuisine.haha...
the desserts and the JIAO ZI also not bad. worth eating.
Then we talked a lot as we catch up with our tpjc days.
after lunch, we went PP to shop. THe 3 of us ,me sandar and hui yi proceed to ECP together with the "drinks" that we bought. THe choya is good and refreshing. I can take it, but cannot compare to Sandar.
I realized i can play DAI DEE already even though, its a bit slow....hahaha..
haha...it was fun fun playing and drinking! This wraps up her bdae celebration.

I exercised after i went home. My second time this week! The Little Nonya is sooo gd!

Went to TM to meet Xian Hui to purchase somebody's present.
I was late due to severe miscommunication. Haha..It was kinda really miscommunication.
Anyway, it didnt really matter as I was only slightly late and she was not angry.
After that, we went Popular to purchase some DIY stuffs.
Shouldnt say much as I might let the cat out of the bag.
Then, we window-ed shop around TM and she purchased stuffs for her parents.
What a filial girl!!! Gotta learn from you.
We went to look around for additional buys. There are really lots of people at TM, luckily we didnt meet into any familiar faces as TM is the place where most of our frenz hang out.
FOX has no one, so we decided to pop in to see whether we can get any good buys.
After much serious consideration and asking of Diana, we decided to purchase the "something", which i cant mention.
I realized that was a good buy and was wishing to have one too. Hahaha...
Both of us didnt get anything but we window-ed shop quite a few shops.

And i didnt get to exercise due to the downpour. Im gonna get fat after eating the Hershey's Pie....Arghh...

I went out with my grandparents and cousins today.
We went PP to have lunch @ Crystal Jade. As we are from a Cantonese family, so we tend to prefer dim sum.
And since, we will be going for our Korea trip in less than 10 days, we went out shopping for stuffs that we need for the holiday.
After lunch, we went wintertime to buy a jacket for my cousin as he doesn't have one.
We chose for a long time and finally decided on a practical one and also bought some of the chemical warmers which is said to be placed inside of the long john.
So many things to settle before the Korea trip!!!!
I cant wait to go! In the meantime, I am also picking up basic Korean language.

On Tues, I exercised!!! Jogged 6 rounds.

On Mon, we had a Ringo bbq at Westmere Condo at jurong east. Its xx's fren place and hence she kindly book the bbq pit for us. Even though, the nite was in a drizzle, we did had fun bbq-ing as there is a shelter at the bbq pit there.
So cool....
We played mahjong for a while, tv-ed then started to bbq. I loved the bbq-ing part as i love to bbq. Hahahaha...I also liked to eat bbq-ed food once in a while.
It was a fun night as we celebrated Connie's and Melissa's belated bdaes.
THe cake is nice, soft and fluffy.
Melissa also bought a Mango Alcohol drink, which was kinda mango-ish budden my face started to turn reddish after a few sips.
Dun know whether is it cant take it or my blood circulation is good??
I hope its the latter...

Canvassing is fun!
I enjoyed giving out flyers for karang guni and the selling of xmas and cny cards.
I was down at AMK yesterday morning for our canvassing activities.
We were told to give our flyers and sell cards.
The cards were handmade by the Society For the Physically Handicapped.
The designs were intricate and unique.
CurL was split into 10 groups and my group was assigned to cover 8 blocks which can be an uphill task as all the flats were very tall and it was like mission impossible as most of the flats are 100 units and above.
Moreover the structure and the layout was very different from the others.
Hence, we were like walking in a zig-zag manner.
We walked a lot of steps and were sweating heavily.
It is really a good workout if u guys intend to tone your legs or muscles.
Not only that, there is a particular block with 28 storeys and we walked down 2*10*28 steps..I cannot imagine.
Some of the people were very nice and at one go purchase 2 sets of cards.
So kind of them, others just ignored us.
I guessed thats the problem that most salesmen will face when they were out doing sales.
NOt only that, I also encountered quite a lot of dogs. They were like barking at us! So intimidating!
We started at 10am and called off at 3pm. Then we had lunch at the S11 food court before we headed home.
It was a fun and tiring day!!!!

I missed my ECP exercise today!

And i drove back from my aunt's house at bedok central to my place at Chai Chee at night. It was my first drive using my uncle's car. Fun and exciting=D I LOVE IT.

yesterday was the second last day of the 1 week entrepreneurship. i
I was like counting down. The lesson officially starts at 1pm but my day started at 9am as my group needs to prepare for the Friday's presentation.
The lecture was on technological entrepreneurship which is really technological whereby there are terms like IP, patent, copyrights and so on...
The lecturer also showed us some interesting videos.
He is rather different frm Mr mark Reilly and Mr Kenneth Chiam, as he is slightly older than the other two so he has more insights but the information he lectured us on can be quite overwhelming as well.
After that, I had to rush down to Millenia Walk's BK which is really out of the way, for my CCA(WSC) meeting.
The meeting is scheduled at 7pm but me and my fren arrived at 8pm..hahaha..luckily the two of us were not the last.
After the 1 and a half hr long meeting, the latecomers including me were feeling hungry as we haven eaten yet. Therefore, the few of us went to marina square's food loft to have a meal.
The meal was disastrous.
Coz the food court was abt to close for the day, and there weren't much choices for us to choose so we decided to choose a stall that sells something like zi char.
It was a wrong choice!!!
I cant decide which type of food to eat then the uncle was like literally forcing me to choose the fried rice which I didn't want.
He was like compelling me to choose that and seems and sounded very impatient.
I know he is closing the stall soon but he shouldn't treat customers this way.
what kind of customer service is this??
And not only that, i gave him extra $$$ but he shortchanged me and didn't realized that.
That one, i can just close one eye but the service was really intolerant and the food didn't taste that nice.
I feel cheated. My friends felt that too....
In conclusion, try not to patronise food court in the middle of the night but choose other alternatives=D

Yesterday, i went to meet tian and jonna over dinner at her hall.
It was after my 6 hours entrepreneurship course that i met them. I am so tired and exhausted after that but my exhaustion soon wear off as soon as I saw them. haha.
We wanted to eat steamboat at her hall but unfortunately, it was closed during the hols.
So..we headed to Hall 2..It was drizzling and there are many interesting encounters during our way there.
It was really an eye-opener for me as i can see that tian is really attached to the CATS over there. She could almost recognized all of them and the cats could also recognize her.
I feel her motherly and caringness towards the cats.
Me and jonna are rather frightened i would say.
The steamboat was not too bad just that the waiting time for it to cook is seriously way too long..haha..but we didnt try the mango shaving and the zi char at her hall.
Heard that it was nice!!!!
will try it someday when i popped over to her hall!!!
Btw, jonna will be going to aussie. Wish her all the best..Meet up again!

Watched Life Transformers on Channel U just now.
Its a show about how people are leading a tough and difficult life. It portrays the softer side of mankind and he harshness of reality.
Nearly weep and cried. Not because of the life they are leading, its of the realization that people are born with different fates and we cant control our destiny.
We wont know what will happen to us the next minute.
Take for example, the female lawyer that perished during the terror attacks in Mumbai.
She is just 28 years old and just married. Why is heaven so cruel to her???
Actually, this can be avoided. If the society is more cultured and people are more understanding and tolerant to one and another.
In short, life is so short...
I am really really really really really really fortunate to eat, sleep, study, play, exercise and do many things at my own.
In this documentary, their life was struck and many mishaps and misfortunes happened to them.
THe father who aged 70-80 plus had to support a family of four...with just a few income.

We cant turn the clock and prevent the unhappy events from happening, we just had to keep on moving. Regardless of what lies ahead of us, we have to face them bravely and keep our heads high and lead a positive life!!!

Yo Yo Yo!!!
As promised, i better and jolly well update my blog coz its has been like solid 3 months since i updated.
Just to share with everybody the top breaking news of the year, that is I have already passed my driving test!!!
This has been my goal since the year 2008 started and I finally achieved it.
I am freaking overjoyed and I cant wait to owe an Eileen's Car someday.
It has always been my dream to own a car and not travel using my legs.
With the slumping economy,the drop in COE prices, this might seems possible but i guessed i have to really save save and really save or else earn earn and earn loads of money before i can own a car.
BUt, just glad that I have a licence and wont ask for more.

Exams had just over and its time for the post-exams activities. Hurray!
24th- Straight after the exams, my MAS clique went out to shokudu to have our dinner at Raffles City. Actually, i feel that the decor of the restaurant is not that jappy enough. It seems that it lacked something. THe food was not too bad though. There was a huge variety, ranging from burgers, to ramen, to omelette rice to the...well, there is just a wide range of food but that time i wasnt that hungry so i settled for the omelette crab stick fried rice.
It was average and together with the ice-blended macha, it completed my meal.

26th- The day i passed my driving test. My dad was away to China so its just my mother and sister and her bf who celebrated for me at MOF. The food was good. I realized the sashimi over there is also great and I prefer the hot-stone rice over the ramen. THe desserts as usual is wonderful! thanks everybody for everything!

27th-Our MAS clique decided to have night cycling. I really enjoyed that night. It was full of laughter, fun, jokes, riddles, tricks, stunts, food, wind, breeze,dust, dogs, Christmas moods, stars, shooting stars, water, magnificent night-scene and of course sweat!!!
Totally enjoyed myself to the fullest. Hahaha.
It was an actually a rather relaxing journey as we cycled all the time from east coast all the way to marina bay, then to marina barrage (reservoir in the city) to lao pa sa and then head back to ECP.
Everyone truly enjoyed ourselves and we already have plans to go for more of such night cyclings already. I cant just get enough of night cycling.

29th-Entre Orientation at NTC. It was a fun day however next week, im sure we will get really busy over the projects and stuffs. How i wished it would be over soonss...as i cant wait for the gatherings that i have already marked on my calendar.

p.S: I realized, we have forgotten quite a lot of things and i feel really bad...
i hate the guilty feeling.
I dun wanna have that feeling so i promised i will get things moving.

It has been a long time since I blogged.
The feeling and the motivation to blog on what has been happening in my life is not there.
Anyway, I just wanted to blog something so that it doesn't feel so *dead*.
2008 will be coming to an end very soon in like 3 months time.
And what have i achieved for the 20 years which i have lived??
So far i am quite satisfied with my life but there is still room for improvements!!!

1) hope to get my driving license at the end of this year 2008
2) if possible, try on contacts
3) have a better figure and abstain from all the unhealthy stuffs
4) will indulge once in a while-like feast at restaurants and movies
5) hopefully being able to travel once again with my family at the end of this year
6) to have better grades- improvement is all i need!!!
7) doing more volunteering work and contributing to the society
8) more gatherings with my frenz
9) engaging in more sporting activities-like roller blading
10) Good Health And no Illnesses for everybody!!!

Hopefully, i can achieve all my targets!

Happy 43rd National Day!!!!

May Singapore be a healthy, prosperous, economic-thriving, peaceful and homely country to live, play and study in.
I went to the Equinox to have complimentary hi-tea buffet with my sister on national day itself and we also went shopping at raffles city.
That area is covered in a sea of red..i feel so nationalistic!!!
Proud to be a Singaporean in many aspects.

I ate a lot of Japanese food these two days.
Thurs- I went to MOF @ suntec with my MAS peeps to have dinner.
Two of my frenz lauren and khai sing have worked there before and we went to enjoy the mouth-watering desserts.
It was not too bad and the prices are very reasonable coz there is student meal for a specific timing.
Then, on Friday, i went to eat sakae sushi in my school with my MAS peeps again.
Can u imagine the amount of jap food that i devoured these few days??
Not only does i gain a few kilos, i also burnt a pocket in my hole.
I also need to subsidise my driving, the buying of textbooks, my lunches, my shopping buys..money is really important and very hard to come by.
Must watch my expenditure and make sure i dont exceed my budget.

Despite, the many food i consumed, i worked off the kilos by exercising today at ECP with my dad.
Must really get on to my exercise regime to stay in the pink of health=X

Last Saturday, I had the hotel stay at Fairmont Hotel.
My family and I stayed there for 1 night and it was just so coincidence that, it was NDP preview that day.
So we get to catch a glimpse of the performance but mostly is the aircraft display and most importantly the fireworks.
The fireworks are spectacular and the air force put up an amazing aircraft show with its superb skills.
The hotel is good and actually me and my 2 cousins would we staying in 1 room so we needed an extra bed.
i called up the operator and she told me that an extra bed is chargeable like 80 bucks.
Super expensive so i said to her that we are only staying for 1 night and started to cajole her.
Finally, she decided to waive it off.
Hahaha...good job.

This is the third day since school reopened.
Before the school even reopened. I was attacked by the flu bug and had a mild sore throat. So unlucky..budden I am slowly recovering.
I haven really adjusted myself yet..even though I am year 2 already.
I should act like a senior already and be able to adapt and adjust myself well.
School life hasn't changed much except that my course has a new building near Canteen B.
I dreaded that canteen since year 1 as whenever i passed by there, there always seem to be many houseflies..Arghh...thinking of that makes me puke.
However, it has since undergone renovation and have added a few stalls like Mr Bean and Each-A-Cup.
Hopefully, the food will taste better as I guessed i will be having my 3 meals there.
Pray hard...

Friday I had driving lesson again.
The instructor is good and patient. However, there are times whereby he checked his sms.
A bit distracting. Then never mind, at least he taught me what he supposed to teach me.
After my driving, I saw Chao liang again. He was like smiling happily to me.
Haha...I went up to him and say hi and also wish him luck for his practical test.
Then, after that I have to rush as I am meeting hui yi to go food expo.
However, something cropped up in the last minute and we had to settle for lunch nearby at our house.
Then, we catch up a lot and update on our lives and more.
Was a bit regretful that we had to give the food expo a miss...never mind. we will have many opportunities!!!
Then, we chatted about the future career paths that we will be going into whether we want a higher pay in a not so well-known company or a slightly lower pay in a well-known company.
Well...there are pros and cons. It depends actually.
After that, we went back home and I rested till 6pm before having my hair cut.
I didnt cut my hair since new year and school is reopening soon.
So might as well....hahaha.

Today, I also have driving which is 2 consecutive lessons.
Tiring but yet i feel as sense of achievement. This is because i didnt do that well for the first lesson but I did better in the second.
My engine only stalled once...claps claps claps.
Better and better....dont let the fear overtake u.
FEAR- False Evidence Appears Real.
That's what he told me.
I must be confident. I overcame the slope gradient and I can move off...
whee....happy happy..

Yeah, Hurray!!!
It was the last day of work at Tokio Marine Insurance Company.
I am very happy and yet tired at the same time.
Even though, the job scope is rather simple, its tedious.
However, I had a great bunch of colleagues.
So in the morning, I went to purchase Subway Cookies and gave it to them as a token of appreciation. They have taught me a lot and I really appreciate.
They got nice food will give me eat, got nice jokes will tell everyone.
Everybody is very nice. Maybe in the exception of my lady supervisor.
I dont hate her but i also dont really like her. Maybe its neutral.
I just dont like lady bosses. Some can get really bossy!!!
Guys on the other hand are much more approachable and friendly.
Well Well, its just the perceptions and opinions. No one can really make a good judgement.
I was under the Motor Claims department so of course naturally, we are dealing with car insurance and I realised that there are many car accidents that happened in Singapore by looking at the number of files they have and their insured vehicles.
In an insurance company, they tend to have a lot of files and its really an uphill task to search for the files.
However, the job in an insurance company can be quite enjoyable as they get to interact with the clients. Yupps, one of the job prospects that my degree in Mathematical Science will lead to is Insurance.
Or specifically, Actuarial Science which deals with numbers. Ok..i still have 3 years to go before i graduate. This temp job did give me a slight exposure in the insurance line.
I would like to talk about my colleagues.
Alvin-the assistant manager is very nice and humorous. He likes to jokes and speaks chinese in a funny manner, coz he is more used in speaking english and when he needs to converse in chinese to chinese-speaking clients, it posed difficulties. On the other hand, his malay is good. Was once a police officer.
Jason- the claims executive. At first, i thought he was in his twenties but i heard he will be hitting thirties soon. Looks very young and likes to jokes and complains a lot.
Fiona- the claims officer. She is a nice lady and I envy her silky hair and tanned look.
Sharon-I have been lunching together with her and 2 other colleagues.
she is a nice lady and have been good to me. She treated me muffins last week from Choclat n Spice. Loves to collect newspapers and empty canned drinks so that she can sell and make money.
She also has a nice dress sense and always wear very nice to work.
Catherine- she is one lady that i can easily talk to her if i have any problems.
Very approachable and sometimes loves to crack jokes too. When i cant find the files, she will say : " jin liang jiu hao ". It means do ur best can already.
Betty, Shirley and Wati are nice colleagues too.
Then we have Richard, he is the most helpful guy i would say to be around.
Will try his best to help me locate the possible places where the files can be found and also a generous guy.
Lastly, we have Annie. She is the typist and helps me a lot too.
Good Times with them. Will remember. will miss the tanjong pagar food also.

Yesterday, I went for driving in the morning.
I met difficulties in moving off again whereby the coordination of the clutch and the accelerator is not there.
I feel so sad. My seventh lesson already and yet I am still encountering this problem.
The instructor had to correct me a few occasions. However, towards the end of the lesson, I made improvements. Its always like that.
I hope that I can be more steady in my driving and to be a safe and socially responsible driver. Please Please..Eileen! Buck up!
While I was leaving the centre, I saw Chao Liang.
I was surprised, he was too. He says he was taking his final practical test and I wished him all the best!!! Haha.
Haven been seeing the guys for a long time and yet I met into him. What a coincidence!!!
Later in the evening, I went out to bugis to meet Daphne. Afnie last minute she couldnt make it.
We shopped at bugis street and saw many good buys. She wanted to get some buys back budden was rather indecisive and didnt know what to get.
In the end, the two of us were like walking around window shopping without getting any buys.
After that, we proceeded to bugis junction.
Fox, Topshop. Dorothy Perkins are all having sales. Went to Fox and managed to get a green top. As usual, she cant decide which colour to choose so in the end, she didnt buy again!!!
Then, we have our dinner at The Soup Spoon.
Just so coincidentally, we met Lauren over there. She was with her friends too eating The Soup Spoon.
We chatted and catch up for a while.
She says there is a bus service whereby u pay $60 per month and u get to sit all the way from tampines to NTU.
I didnt know that.....However, it only provided a to service so I was thinking thinking whether i am going to take it...
Ok. Continued with our shopping, we went to purchase some accessories and she got a necklace and i got earrings.
Finally, we had buys!!!

In the afternoon, i had the NTU CURL VAP.
The beneficiaries and the student volunteers will be coming down to NTU to have an interaction session and have the hands on the mosaic tiles in which they will be doing next Sunday for a wall mural by tiling the mosaic tiles.
Its gonna be an exciting event.
I was one of the facilitators and me and wei ching were in charged of bringing the fajar sec students from the choa chu kang mrt station to NTU.
We were both late and what was even shocking was that only 5 out of 14 turned up coz the rest were involved in the NDP rehearsal and couldn't make it to NTU.
There were indoor and outdoor games for them.
However, that day was always in a drizzle. THe rain comes and goes.
The outdoor games cannot be run smoothly. a hiccup.
Budden, it was settled quickly.
I feel that the beneficiaries had a fun time as there were sing a long sessions.
Some of them can really sing very well.
THere is a student volunteer named Daniel, he was very enthusiastic and enjoys interacting with the beneficiaries. Haha..he is a funny boy...
THen, it comes to the fun part, the mosaic tiling session.
They were told to tile the design they want it to be.
Some of them really made very nice ones...
I cant wait for the actual day tiling...

Last Sat I had a fun time meeting up with my sec school frenz, tian and jonna.
We went to the Shokudu, the pasta and pizza house at City Link. Was actually intending to eat the one at the basement of Raffles City buddden nvr mind.
Surprising, the food was rather nice and the pizza was crispy and yummy=D
All three of us loved it and I loved my creamy carbonara spaghetti too.
We also ordered 2 kinds of desserts which actually tasted very sammmee.
Jonna and Tian were like complaining.
However, I must say that I love the green tea ice shaving with red bean.
Will definitely go for more.
After dinner, we went to Esplanade to chill and surprisingly saw yuli.
What a super coincidence!!!!
She was with her bf. Then we catch up on what we have been doing coz it has been a long time since I met with them.
Then, we took pictures which actually turned out to be rather blurred. Sorry for that. And I noticed all four of us are dressed in greenss....

Tml will be almost like the last day of work at Tokio Marine.
Feeling happy and relaxed but at the same time feel a tinge of sadness coz of the thought of leaving the kind and humorous colleagues.
They have guided me a lot and I have learnt a bit more of car insurance as I am under the motor claims department.
As I am the one handling the mails and filing so I get to see all sorts of mails ranging from the car workshop, to the lawyers to the other big insurance companies.
Ok, I hope tml will be a good day.

Last sunday, We celebrated my sister bdae @ East Coast Long Beach.
This restaurant is the one which we frequent for seafood for big occasions.
However, the roasted chicken over there is always sold out whenever we go there.
Had a lot of food...

And the Oreo cheesecake from Savoury Fare.
I have actually grown to love to eat cheesecake, blueberry, American, Chicago and raspberry. Coffee Bean & Tea Leaves Cakes are sold at half-priced after 6pm!!!
My sister always buy them fortnightly. haha...wo you kou fu!!!

My driving has gone on track and soon i will be going to module two.
I went to the roads already. It was a really fun and exciting and scary experience.
My engine once stalled when I was about to move off after the traffic lights turned green. Ohh Goshhh....nobody can understand how i felt that point of time.
The instructor was strict and he told me: " come on Eileen....Start the engine!!!
Hurry the vehicles are waiting ". I was like praying hard to faster depress the clutch and achieve the half-clutch and then step on the accelerator.
My braking also needs to be practiced more coz i brake too late and may cause danger to the vehicles in front.
U can Do it, Eileen!!!

Finally 2 weeks have passed since the day I started work.
My colleague treated me kueh today, so nice of her....
And its not that I don't like my job. Just that I cant wait for school to start.
When there is school, it will just be study and activities.
However, the thought of ending the three months break is just so..
Hmm..3 months break is sufficient.

Tonite, I had dinner with my family at Cafe Cartel.
Fortunately, the same thing didn't happen to me. HAHA...
Anyway, it is my dad's bade so we decided to have our dinner there coz one thing that is good is that there is free flow of bread and I love those kind of french loaves.
Had a sumptuous dinner, we ordered Ham and Egg Sandwich, Grilled Chicken, Ham and Mushroom Pasta, St Louis's Pork Ribs, Oreo mocha and waffle with ice-cream to wrap up our dinner.
Its worth eating at Cartel..still got 15% off the total bill by using Citibank card. good good..

THen on wed, I had dinner with the S11 gals.
We had a fun time that nite, chit-chatting over our stories and crapping away.
A point to take note, actually sabrina and Carlene are the ones who shared most of the stories-work, friends and other personal stuffs. The rest, Diana, valr, xian hui and me were basically listening and sometimes making silly comments.
Hahah...actually I also have stories to share. Next time maybe!!!
Then, we had dinner at Asian Kitchen. Their noodles are not too bad.
Actually, this meet up was meant to be a belated bdae celebration for the june and july 20th babies. That is me, diana and Carlene.
They bought a cake for us and dinner was also on them.
Thanks sooo muuuchh Sabrina, Valr and Xian Hui.
I love the chocolate moose cake. It was delicious.
Some of the updates in them that I would like to mention,
Firstly Sabrina- u have a wonderfullly long hair. A brand new gal=X
Secondly, we have Diana who has managed to balance her studies and love life. Kept us in the dark for almost a year!!!
Thirdly, we have valr who will be going for Student Exchange Programme to Milan.
A great exposure and wonderful experience. Have fun over there.
Fourthly, we have Carlene who shared the stories she encounted during her job @ SIR Building. I guessed ur everday is full of excitement.
Lastly, for xian hui, her hair hasnt change. She still manage to maintain a soft and silky look. Must eat lunch during the hols k...

Saturdays and Sundays,

I was up early in the mornings. Had to rush down to Thiong Bahru MRT.
Was supposed to meet up with CCA mates for the mosaic making workshop for NTU CURL 08.
So we headed to Henderson Industrial Park for the workshop.
THe project is to make a mosaic mural together with the beneficiaries and the student volunteers.
Actually, the process is fun but tough.
However, the mosaic tiles are very beautiful especially the ones attached with the mirrors...It comes in all shapes,sizes and many many many different designs.
I love the one with the Starbucks logo.
Beautifully grouted and tiled.
We were told to make one ourselves and I made a sunflower.
i feel that it wasn't that nice but never mind, since it was my first time.
Then,we laid our designs.
The next day, we had to grout by laying the cement so that the tiles stay in place.
Hmm...somehow my piece was slightly destroyed as the teacher says there was some imperfections and had to remove them.
An extreme makeover indeed. A bit heart - wrenching.
Actually, i was surprised that quite a number of parents with their children also attended the workshop.
THis mosaic making is some sort of clay making that kind of activity.
Something different and I had a fun time hands on, on the object.
A mixture of ART & D and T.

I have a piece of good news to share.

I passed my FTT.
I had the test in the morning before going to work.
Didn't really prepare as i didn't go for the etrials and I only read the book two days in advance.
Was really happy and relived that I passed. Hurrayy!!!!!
tHen comes the practical lessons which i have to continue to take.
Haven't been to the road yet. I guessed i will feel both scared and excited.

And i only exercised once this week, feel so fat!!!

Its been 1 week at work. I am adapting well and fitting in.
Just that work is piling up and piling up.
Hopefully, I can clear as much as possible. Bless me.
My colleagues are fine. Most of them are much older than me, one of them is 21 years old and have worked half a year..
Alvin the assistant manager is a nice guy=X
Richard is a funny and helpful guy=X
We have Catherine, Shirley, Betty, Sharon, Fiona, Jason and Wati.
they have been nice so far.
The good thing is I have tried many food at tanjong pagar.
The lunch crowd there is really super super crowded. wanted to buy the mufffins at cholat and spice, a very popular shop that sells muffins and cakes.
Late already so had to rush back.

At night, my family and I went bugis to have dinner.
We have dinner at Ajisen Ramen.
I love the ramen and the soup over there. The set meal is really worth eating.
After that, we wanted to have desserts to wrap up our dinner.
We went Shokudu, The Coffee House.
Its newly opened and i feel that the whitish decor is very nice.
The food is also very tempting.
Have a look at the desserts which I ate..there are really mouth-watering.

Between work and studies, which one would u choose??
This is a question that will also flash through my mind as i grow older.
In life, we are always faced with many decisions.
We have to make decisions everyday, ranging from,
-should we take bus or mrt?
-should we eat breakfast or just skip it?
-should we nap a while and wake up late or make an effort to wake up early?
-what are we having for lunch? chicken rice, noodles, soup, western, jap etc...
-should we jaywalk or take the zebra crossing?
...so and so forth.
Thus, we are forced to make decisions.
We are sometimes compelled by the circumstances.
So back to the question,
Actually frankly speaking, I really opt for studying.
Even though, the students are always in a competition in whatever, grades, sports and ccas.
I still feel that i prefer all that.
From kindergarten to primary to sec to jc to uni.
What a long, arduous yet wonderful journey.
I have tasted everything, the sour, sweet, bitter and spicy.
Those studying days are really memorable and yet unforgettable. All those embarrassing and funny incidents will forever be etched in my mind.
I hope to cherish all these precious memories with my friends.
Time waits for no man.
We have to move on and enter a new chapter of our life.
There are still many things out there.
THe world is v big.
I must really sit down and ponder what i want in life...

Today was my first day at Tokio Marine Insurance @ Fuji Xerox Building.
Before my work which started at 2pm, i had my 3rd driving lesson.
Was chided by the instructor for my lack or coordination and the stalling of engine.
Must be the lack of practice as I was really busy.
Was feeling kinda bad at that point.
Budden Im determined to practice and practice.
THen I rushed off to tanjong pajar.
THat building was difficult to locate as the agent told me the wrong directions.
And it was pouring. What luck!!!
THe office is fun and the people there were nice too=X There are also many nice food over there like many faves, subway, sakae sushi, gelare and the dessert house and etc....
Hopefully, i can fit in coz the work may be tedious.

Moving on, last saturday, we had a mini Ringo outing.
Actually meant to celebrate Joanne's bdae and mine as well.We went to xue xin house. Supposed to be a potluck and I prepared egg and cheese sandwiches. There were also jelly, fishballs, hotdogs, potato salad and Canadian pizza.
They commented it was nice.
Haha...okie. It was simple though.
THey gave me a bag as my bdae gift and I liked it. Thanks soo... much...

Helloos,

I enjoyed a free dinner at Raffles city Cafe Cartel just now.
Dinner is on them!!!
Haha..it is not a joke.
Here is how the drama goes. Read carefully.
My mum, sister and me decided to have dinner at cafe cartel as there are really many people at the basement of market place.
As usual, we joined the queue. We got a table in 20 mins.
Was actually excited what to order as it was a treat from my sis.
Looked at the menu and we ordered,
Grilled Chicken, Crispy Pork Chop, Sandwiches, Oreo Milkshake and ice-cream waffle.
Food was served as we were happily eating our main courses and even commented that the food was delicious. Really happily eating...
Finished our main courses, then came the desserts.
Was served by a lady. She passed me the waffle from the side and not straight to our table...and then...when i was about to take the plate from her.
The drink on my table was knocked. OMG.
The entire cup of peach tea was spilled and my pants was literally wet wet.
I was like oh no...hw could such a thing happened to me???
Even though, i experienced twice of such an incident, once at KFC and the other while holidaying, budden still, hw can it happen to me...hw can i go home with my wet pants.
People may think i wet my pants (an absurd thought)!!!
Ok.I take it in my stride. Got away from the seat and stand to dry myself. The worst thing is that lady didn't even apologise. she just walked away. Maybe she didnt see, that I do not know.
My sister and mum were like shocked and fuming mad esp my sister.
I still ate the waffle reluctantly. Mood was spoilt though.
THen i hurried them to settle the bill. Then my sis couldn't take it and complained.
Manager was called here and I explained the whole scenario.
Was actually meant to highlight to him.
Not putting him at a spot, budden he was so nice. He decided to wavie off the meal!!!
We were indeed surprise. Was just expecting an apology or a free dessert or food.
I really didnt expect that much. He was kind and i know its important that the customers come first.
what a good manager!!! haha...was actually upset that my pants was wet.
A free dinner in the expense of my wet pants!!! Hee...
What another dining experience.
Its important to treat the customers well in the f&b sector or the customer service line.

I was happy today. My day was very eventful.
Went to toa payoh in the morning to settle some stuffs.
Then i proceeded to Comfort driving centre to apply for PDL.
I was also scouting for jobs in the process.
was expecting some replies.
THere was this good offer which is an admin job working at pulua ubin OBS.
Fun fun...doesnt it sounds fun? Transportation and lunch provided.
seems a good offer..but my parents strongly objected.
They says its very unsafe and i have slight seasickness so the 5 mins to and fro ferry ride i might not take it.
Their worries are really uncalled for as I think its a fun working environment and i longed to go to OBS.
So i turned it down.
wanted to go to OBS badly as i want to try the activities over there!!!

THere is this saying, " u will see light at the end of the tunnel!!!"
I received another offer from another agency. Its an admin job working at a Jap Insurance Firm at Tanjong Pajar.
Near my sis working place.
was a good offer too so i accepted and have to work till school starts.
Looking forward.

I hope my driving wont be affected too much.

I am feeling much better now in terms of my emotions.
The blues are over and the i am feeling yellows-always on the bright side.
Currently, I am working for a 4 days data entry admin job @ Tampines.
Its is actually doing banking services for the bank.
However, the work is very monotonous and depends very much on your typing speed.
The job also requires to be meticulous and if there is a mistake, it can turn out to be disastrous.
Hearing this may make everybody feel that we should shun the job right. Hahaha..
Even though, it is very mundane. I am ok with it.
Many of the people there are youngsters and some adults too.
There are also temps like me who are also on vacation. I met a few of them.
Celine and Zhaoyang are also recommended by the agency.
We lunched at Century Square food court and most of us are like complaining to have back aches and hand pain.
Such a coincidence, Sudar is also working there too.
Today is my third day of work.
Had a bit of fun injected today.
Celine wore shorts today and obviously it drew stares from the people there.
One of the lady colleagues like "tell her off".
Its lunch time, when we were about to order our food, Ivy the person from the agency called and inform her that the dress attire she wore today is inappropriate and was told to go home and change.

Its like so ridiculous coz just the shorts issue and need to go home and changed.
Therefore, I told her to buy a pair of pants instead. she was like fuming mad at that time. So after lunch, went to shop for the pants.
Finally got one. Was relieved!!!

Tml is my last day at work=X

last Saturday, had dinner at the hong kong cafe at east coast road.
THe food is ok and it reminds me very much of the hk.
And then the pineapple po lo bun is super delicious. Yums yums....

The world is unfair.
Heaven has been cruel to me for once.
Sometimes, I really couldn't accept the fact, I tried to run away from reality and tell myself its just another setback.
However, if there are too many setbacks in life, i will feel so demoralised.
Imagine failing something again again and over again.
Even a strong-willed person also cant take it.
The worst is u really really really put in a lot of effort and the end result turned out to be otherwise.
Its like..shouldn't hard work=success??
Teachers in school always tell students that if we make in hard work, we will surely obtained good grades.
I can tell u thats a lie.
I am not gonna believe anymore!!!
Anyway, i am referring to my recent grades and my special sem.
Even though, its not enough for me to quit school, I still feel kinda sour.
let ME VENT IT OUT FOR ONCE.
Arghh........

On a lighter note, I went for my 2nd practical driving lesson today.
I drove round and round and round the circuit.
This is to practice driving around gradual bends.
Made improvement today.
Was glad and happy.
Even though, there are hiccups here and there, the instructor was nice.
Once, he told me to give way to the ""zebras"" at the zebra crossing.U know it...haha. Its lame.
Loooking forward to driving!!!

Next-My very 1st practical driving lesson.
I was very excited and yet nervous. Trepidation filled me.
As i will be learning manual so I am prepared that it will be rather tough.
When i reached there, I couldn't find the allocated car in the first place. So embarrassing. Then, I managed to locate the map and then the car.
Instructor was fine. He briefed me all the various parts of the vehicles.
I was actually overwhelmed at first as I haven read the FTT book yet. So when he asked me the names of some of the parts, I was speechless.
He didnt yell at me though.
Then after that, he demonstrated hw to get the car moving.
I was told to do it myself again. OK...i relax and followed his instructions.
Initially, I was fine then he told me to reverse back.
I became flustered as I cant determine which one to depress first, the clutch or the brake??
Then, there was vibration..that kind of noises.
Ok..then i was also worried by the surroundings as in the people in th outside and afraid of banging into the cars. Need to look at the rear view mirror and the wing mirrors.
End of 1st lesson. learnt a lot today.
Gotta do more practice.

Some of the updates of last week.

last sat-was out the whole day. Lunched at Ding Tai Fung @ Raffles City with my family. It was a treat from my sister and I really loved the red bean paste xiao long bao and not forgetting the soup xiao long baos.
Had a heavy lunch then we proceeded to orchard to shop around for some clothes coz its been a long time since i last shopped.
Got a few buys and have a tea break at Delifrance.
We ate the desserts and surprisingly it tasted really nice=)
I especially love bread pudding coz its served hot and with the vanilla ice-cream, wow, it just tastes so wonderful.

Then the night ended with seafood dinner at Long Beach Restaurant @ East Coast Park.
My family loves eating seafood coz they served our fav dishes, like my deer meat, roasted chicken, the spicy chili crabs and the noodles.
I am really full that day. My stomach was actually bloated. It was actually a celebration for my aunt new house!!!

last sun- It was my day!!!
started to pour in the mornings and my jog @ ECP was cancelled. I had to make do with an evening jog near my house. Today my entire family will be celebrating my bdae with me. We would be having a sumptuous dinner at home.
My 20th bade is actually very meaning as I have stepped into the 20-20 world and no longer a teen as said by my frenz. Even though, i know that I would be in my twenties and things will slightly changed as in I cant be too childish and bla bla.
But, i believe its better to be young at heart and the age is just a reflection of the years going by and heaven has been kind to be to live so far=D
Then, my bade cake is from Savoury Fare-ice cream cake!!!

Mon- had work and then went for a jog.

Tues-had work the whole day at later in the night will be going for fish n co staff party @ china one at Clarke quay.
Everybody will be present so I just went along. It was after work like around 1030pm. They were hoping that less people will come in and eat so that we can let off early to prepare to dress up. Unfortunately, there was a mini queue. Haha..we were like OMG. THen with no hiccups, we closed at around 10pm.
Then off to party. Everybody cabbed there.
Clarke quay is really full of night life activities. The people there were mainly Caucasians and foreigners. The place is very hip and soothing.
A nice place to chill.
Drinks and food were in the house. Lucky draw is the climax!!!
It was past 0000. Abigail is the first to wish me. thanks.
Officially, happie 20th bade to me!!!
I was feeling tired so i left at around 130pm after the performance and the second round of lucky draw.
And guessed what, they always say people will have exceptionally good luck on his/her bdae.??
My fren told me i actually won a voucher budden she couldn't collect on my behalf.
so wasted......
Im happy that I have luck on that night.

I woke up early in the morning like 6am today.
This is just after 4 hrs which I just got off from work or supposedly after my shower and everything.
I had to do so, if not I will feel guilty.
This is because I will be attending the first VSS session at CHIJ ST Theresa's Convent. THe other sessions I cant make it due to work and studies.
Therefore, this time round I must make an effort to go down.
Unfortunately, when i got to the destination, it was pouring. Luckily, there was a sheltered walkway all the way from the bus stop to the school.
After 2 hours of interaction with the school gals, it make me feel that most of them are lucky and I feel that there is still a need to instill a better understanding of volunteerism in them.
i hope that after the entire project, they will gain something from it.The two VAPs should be taking place very soon and it should be very exciting and eventful.
My volunteer group, only me, Si Ming and Deborah went and some other sub-commers.
Surprisingly, they too took special sem. So qiao=D

Work related is some sort more all less the same.
Just that this week, we had a few stars that patronise fish & co.
Some of them were Kumar, Olinda Cho and a channel 8 news broadcaster.
There will be an upcoming staff party @ China One. Should I go?? I am still considering.
There were as usual many friendly customers esp the Caucasians. Some of them were really warm-hearted not forgetting the adorable kids that accompanied.
Many of my frenz over there love kids.
I should be ending the work there soon if not, will be working on weekends as I intend to find a admin job.

Moving house is a very fun and tiring thing.
My Aunt have finally relocated to her new home. And the process, I would say is rather fun and the new home is very warm and cosy.
There is a chandelier. (Crystal lights)
Next time, my home, i will also put effort to decorate and refurnish it with beautiful wallpapers and classy furnitures=D

And also, I haven been exercising. Hw hw??

I went to watch Kungfu Panda with Diana, Russell, JJ and his sister.
Prior to the movie watching, we were supposed to meet at Tampines MRT.
I waited exactly 1 hr for them. The longest I have ever waited. Well well...Im a forgiving person. Actually, it has been ages since I last saw russell and I understand that JJ is working hard in army budden enjoying himself. He rushed all the way for the movie, so nice of him.
The movie was nice and extremely comical. I feel that there is a hidden message that this move wants to portray.
A very motivating message that it wants to bring across to the people.
That is "iF U believe, u Can do it"- Very chinese and cartoony!!!
After the movie, we went to grab a bite as some of us are feeling hungry.
JJ suggested Cafe Cartel coz the cakes are half-priced after 9pm.
Then, we eat the cakes and chatted till 11 plus before heading home.
Their NS stories are too much to digest at one go....some are so funny that we were laughing our heads out. (esp Diana)

Resumed work today.
Was a bit out of sorts as 6 days was a rather long break.
However, things adjusted very fast and soon i was switched to the work momentum.
Today is a fri weekend so the queue is understandingly long..like a snake.
People these days also eat out very often and even patronise restaurants.
who actually cares about the oil price hike, inflation, growing rice prices and many more. The underlying point is that people are still consumering!!!
However, I know my money is hard-earned and I wont spend it unnecessarily.
Talking about money, something comes to my mind.
Father's Day is around the corner and I am touched by one of my fren's gesture towards her dad.
She actually bought him an OSIM massage chair worth around $2000+++. She is really filial.
Sometimes, the money u earned is also meant to be spend like indulge in worldly pleasures, travelling, dining, going for spas and many more.
Just think that, u are spending something worth the money and u can benefit from it.

1 piece of good news is that Fish N Co. Paragon has 100% cleanliness and good appearance. This shows that the staff have been working hard. HAHA..A pat on my shoulder=D

Met up with my MAS peeps today again.
Actually, we planned to have a bbq at Jocelyn's house.
However, something cropped up and we have to call it off.
Despite that, the rest of us met up, me, Jessie, YiShin and khai Sing, and we decided to go to Minds Cafe @ Purvis Street.
It is actually a cafe cum a board-gaming place whereby we can play all sorts of board games.
It was actually quite fun as I am a person who seldom patronise arcades. However, I do go there often when I am young. Well, I am still young if not still young at heart!!!
There was the happy hours whereby each person pays $5++ then have free flow of drinks and board gaming from 2-6pm.
We played 3-4 games in total. I LOVE Cluedo the best. I was first exposed to the game during SPMS orientation and we played that. Initially, I thought it wasnt interesting and quite boring. However, i realised it was fun.HAHA...coz i was reigning winners for first two rounds. Feels good for being able to solve the mystery and I have the makings of an detective. Just kidding!!!
Then the rest were a board game called Bluekus and Dawn Under. Quite interesting and I wished to learn how to play all the games over there.
Its a nice place to chill and talk.
Then after, we went to Sim Lim square to check out some electronic products.
And then went to Soup Spoon to taste the souplicious soups as our light dinner.

Tml i will be starting work after a break of 6 days dun to exams.
I sure missed the customers and my working frenz.

Accounting Exams is officially over.
I heaved a sigh of relief as if I manage to thread across the treacherous waters.
Hahaha...I was exaggerating.
Initially, everyone who takes accounting tells me it is a scary and tough subject.
Fortunately, I pulled through coupled with Ms Chan injecting fun in the lesson.
Time really flies and 1 month out of the three months break is over.
Lets recount the past 1 month events.

1)Got an F&B job and received my first paycheck.
2)Passed my 2nd attempt of BTT.
3)Pulled through accounting and made 2 NS friends and 1 mechanical engin soon to be graduating gal fren.
( All the five of us are actually seniors and juniors of each other!!! )
4)Watched the HK drama-Seventh Heaven by Kelvin Cheng & Nikki
5)Gatherings with frenz
6)Aunt will be relocating to her new home-Excited!

.
.There are also many unhappy incidents which I shouldn't touch on.

For the next month, my schedule will change.
-I am going to start booking slots for my practical lesson and faster learn my driving so as to get my licence.
-My work at fish and co still continue until I find a new job.
-Will be looking around for holiday plans
-Not forgetting my exercise.
-Wanting to go blading which I think is going to take place very soon and cycling at Pulua Ubin. Yeah!

Today marked my 1 month at Fish N Co.
I had a wonderful time with all the frenz, interaction with the customers, listening to music, eating the mint candies and the liberty to walk around Paragon with all the high-end stores(but not being able to buy anything) during my break.
Im enjoying it.
And I had a treat from them. The staff were treated to a movie show titled:

It was a wonderful movie with all the adventures and excitement. There were climaxes every moment. I love watching blockbuster, romance and fantasy movies.
Actually, it was a really nice treat from Fish N Co as it was held at GV Vivo.
Thanks so much!!

Im talking about life again.
Just feel that its ok to encounter setbacks in life or even numerous setbacks in life.
Coz this will make life exciting and not so mundane. I always believe there is light at the end of the tunnel. Always very emotional as sometimes the hard work is not equal to success. So everyone if u ppl encounter any difficulties in life, dont be despondent just look at the bright side and tomorrow will be a better day.

My legs are so swollen and extremely painful coz I have walked a lot today.
I met up with my NTU peeps, Jessie, yishin and jocelyn. We were planning to buy accessories for Sheryl's bdae. She will be working at the flea market opposite Cine-leisure so we intended to give her a bdae surprise.
I met up with Jessie first and we went to wisma's Forever 21 to look at the accessories and did caught a few budden we couldn't make up our mind.
Then, we proceed to meet yi shin as she was on her way. Then the three of us went to grab a bite (munching breads actually from one of the bakeries- the cream bread which I ate was yummlicious), before heading to CK Tang to look out for more.
People and more people. Singaporeans are flocking down to orchard for their shoppings becoz of the GREAT SINGAPORE SALE.
Then, after much consideration, we finally decided to go back to FOREVER 21 to settle for the accessories and bought 1 chain and a bangle.
Jocelyn joined us laters and we proceed to the YOUTH PARK.
Spotted sheryl at a distance.
She was surprised as we gave her a brownie too. haha...okie.
After that, actually i have to go for Inez's bbq party however, jonna was sick and then I also decided not to go. So in the end tian called it off and we decided to meet another day.
Joce left with her fren. so the remaining three of us went to have dinner.
I suggested Nihon Mura at the cathy as 1 plate of the sushi only cost $0.99. This is considered cheap compared to sakae sushi.
We headed to the cathy and that was a long walk. haha..was worth is coz the food was nice and we had great time chatting and crapping ranging from academic to work to play. Btw, yishin is my fish n co mate budden she is working at JP outlet.
The funny and shocking thing is that the total bill is $104.25 which was ridiculous. We were shocked to death. (seriously). I thought the cashier is faulty and actually $10.425 or something which I know was also impossible.
Then we checked the bill. It included more dishes which shouldn't be there. The person was calm even though it was a really big mistake. My fren was agitated in a humorous manner. haha..
Then , he checked and billed us again. This time, he charged us less. haha...Oh no.
We should have gone off and save the few dollars however all of us are honest souls and went back.
We clarified everything and the total bill is $39.55.
what a comical dining experience!!!

I really hope next week will faster come and faster go!!! pls...

Life have been smooth and happy for me so far.
I am contented with what I have right now and wont ask for more unless I worked hard to attain them.
However, i cant say for the victims of the Myanmar cyclone and the Sichuan Earthquake.
Many of them were left homeless, living in hunger and even at the danger of being contacted with illness. I really give my condolences to them and pray that everything will turn out well. The Earth is so fragile and anything can happen, anytime and anywhere.
so cherish your loved ones, your family and your friends.
I am beginning to really affirm that health is wealth.
Now, I am down with a flu and a slight cough and I am feeling so uncomfortable with it.

On top of that, I must really say that IMM is really worth exploring. There are so many shops over there ranging of the restaurants to boutique shops. My OG went to Swensens to celebrate dara's bdae. I tried most of its sandwiches and I can say its really great. Their ice-cream is still the best and I am going to apply for the cool rewards card to enjoy more ice-cream privileges.

A piece of wonderful news to share!!!
I have passed my 2nd attempt of the Basic Theory test which was held today.
I told myself that I should, i must and I will pass..Pray really really hard.
Thanks goodness!!! Yipee!
I can officially booked my practical. switched to the manual coz the person says we should consider the long run and that learning manual would be better=X
Well, busy busy again coz have to fit in my driving lessons.
Today, I met up with hui yi and Shu zhuang, my good fenz. Shu zhuang introduces us to a good Italian eatery along east coast road. THe food was okie and we had a great time chatting. Already planning the next one! Haha...I guessed the three of us are rather health-conscious too. We are the same=X

After the meet up, I have to rush to work.
I am the "runner" today. Completed the Osim marathon.
Just joking. Actually, i am in charge of serving the food today. My wrists are slightly hurting right now. My parents popped by fish n co. to give me moral support.
Nice of them. Thanks a lot. I really appreciate it. The people over there are fun and always very helpful. eg asking me whether I can manage not. Thanks too.
finally, 2 weeks at work. i HOPE I CAN HANDLE MY studies just as well I handle the seafood pans.

I am feeling very terrible!!!
My stomach is like bloated and I feel that there is something heavy inside- the food which I ate...Arghh.
I stuffed myself with food as soon as I came back from lessons as I was feeling rather famished.
I ate cakes, my 5 dishes dinner and papayas. THe result, having to do "big business" after that. Really regretted for eating too much.
The other part of the world is suffering from malnutrition and yet now I am suffering from over-nutrition or should I say over eating.
Shouldnt be so greedy from now onwards and should just keep to 70% full.
Sometimes I just cant help from eating even though I know that I am already full.
My father is also the same. He also eats a lot, especially at night. He can really eat a lot. However, he did exercise.
Anyway, my grandmother says we shouldnt eat too much at night.
We should " eat breakfast like a king, eat lunch like a prince and eat dinner like a pauper ".

The Monday Blues are finally over...
I made a grave mistake at work however my frenz say dun take the matter too hard.
Take it as a lesson learnt.
I will listen to her and be more alert in future.
Working life is really really different from studying. U have to be serious, actually this applies to both. However, the former is more important.
Even if it is a temp job, I must also do my work diligently.
On a lighter note, I do met into nice ppl.
We were discussing abt cute guys who patronise the restaurant. Haha..
A few of them were really cute and most importantly, they are polite.
I dislike ppl who shouts and talks loudly...

Btw, the channel u variety programme U ARE THE ONE is really worth watching.
There are many handsome and cute guys and pretty gals out there.

My first 24hrs probation at fish and co is finally over.
I am so so wonderfully happy!!!
officially a staff at fish and co. and beginning to undertake many roles and handles all kinds of situations every working day.
That is why, working in the f & b industry is fun in the sense that different things and surprises happen everyday. Its tiring too....
i worked from 12-6pm for today however extended for another three hours coz of the long long queue.
the queue is really really long. The line of customers waiting in line for the tables means more business, means more work but also means more money rolling in.
hopefully, that is that case. haha

Mothers Day, which is 1 day away explains the crowds.

Talking about mother's day, after work, I rushed all the way down to Chinatown Spring Court to have Mother's day celebration with my family.
All of them were already there and have finished most of the food budden still waiting for me. I am touched.

Anyway, Just wanna say Happy Mother's day to my mum and to all.

I went jogging today despite reaching home at around 7.10pm after my accting lesson.
The point is I made an effort to exercise despite my busy schedule of working and studying.
I feel so proud of myself and the field over there which I ran was pitch dark. And I repeat its seriously pitch-dark. I can only see my shadow and the chilling wind. I guessed any normal person wont do that, let alone a gal=X
However, I was brave enough to overcome all odds so as to keep myself fit and in good shape. I was motivated and I ran faster than usual. Haha...my stamina is still there.(a pat on my shoulder)

Here comes my work.
Second day of work is slightly different as I will be serving drinks and pasta instead of the seafood pans. I also had the chance to be the greeter whereby I help to bring in the customers. Feel satisfied and happy.
The beverages were not very heavy. I still can manage to carry them. The daunting task is to helping the customers to open up the can drinks. Sometimes, i have the feeling that the tray will topple over as it was unsteady..haha..At that point, I really prayed very hard that the worse wont happen to me.
Customers were both good and bad. Some of the younger customers were friendly as they knew that I am new at work and even chat with me.
The bads ones are like....shan't say much. Makes my blood boil!!!
Anyway, on wed I worked till 11pm and surprisingly the Orchard Mrt still have a lot of people.
Well, a usual sight in singapore but unusual for me.
Gotta work even harder!

tODAY is my first day of work at FISH and Co.
Oh..come on. At first i was having nervous jitters as this is my first time working in the F & B industry.
anyway, the job was recommended by my fren sheryl who was one of the supervisors over there.
So, i was lucky enough to have someone to guide me along.
Well, I had fun serving the food to the customers. However, the pans were rather heavy so I guessed i have to train my hands more often.
There were a few hiccups though. I had trouble remembering the tables and I think i served the food to the wrong tables twice.
Was rather embarrassing. Fortunately, the customers didn't make a big fuss of it.
I cant imagine how i could remember tonnes of maths formulae and yet i couldn't do this!
Never mind, practice make perfect.
Some of the customers were really nice, they really appreaciate what we do for them.
Some even say thank you and I was indeed happy by that two words. Job satisfaction!!!
This couldn't be compared to the admin jobs which i have done previously.
This proved to be more exciting, more challenging but more tiring.
I hope everything will be better and the colleagues were nice over there.
I learnt some of the F & B "skills" from them.

Special Sem for accting will start tml.
Gonna have a busy schedule this month and I hope I can cope.

My day was packed tight.
I woke up at around 745am today. It was indeed unusually early for me.
Serious things that need to be settled thats why there is a need to wake up early.
Me and my sis went to Raffles Place again to settle some banking stuffs.
Finally, its over=D
Lunched at Subway. Both of us have the Ham and subway meltz. Cookies is ever so tasty.
I would like to describe a phenomenon which was quite usual when I noticed many people were doing that. Well, i was referring to the working executives whereby, they will 'chop' seats by placing tissues and some even put name cards just to getseats Wahaha..anyway, i just think its very strange to see sucha thing happen in the heart of CBD.
Later in the day, I went to Vivo to meet Daphne.
Had a fun and tiring day walking around Vivo. The place still looks unfamiliar to me.
however, I admit that it really gives u a wonderful shopping experience.
The many high-end fashion shops already dazzled me. Before meeting her, I pop into the BOOKSHOP very similar to Borders called PAGEONE.
There was a whole range of books and I chanced upon a book titled " why bad things happen to good people"
I really really agree to it. This can be portrayed in many drama serials whereby the good always didn't have a good ending. oK..great books.
Then we proceed to the outside of vivo overlooking the harbour to chit-chat.
Was really fun fun. tried superdog and bought chocs from candy empire.
Vivo has changed my perception!!!

There is a wide range of Korean, Taiwanese and hong kong dramas.
And my day was spent at home watching some of those dramas.
I was watching the Korean drama of 3 DADS AND 1 MOM show which I think is super nice, super-touching, highly entertaining and thought-provoking and sooo...
In short, the drama is great. I had a fun time watching that.

And I exercised today. GOOD Job!!!

yES. My first programme for the day is to queue up for Ben and Jerry's free ice-cream cone. i can tell u that singaporeans are really ice-cream fanatics or izzit their kiasuness overwhelmed them.
There was a really extremely long queue which like encircling the entire MarketPlace over at the basement at the Raffles' City outlet. I guessed other businesses are somehow affected. However, Ben and Jerry is doing for good cause...
Initially, we were wondering whether would it take a long time for our turn but who cares.I have the time to spare, since my exams are over.
We queued for like 30 minutes before getting hold of the Chunky Monkey and the Cookie Dough!!!
The wait was worthwhile as the ice-cream was thick and yummy.The banana-flavored was especially good. A generous serving though. First time eating Ben and Jerry's ice-cream and it gave me a good impression.

Before, the free ice-cream cone affair, me and my sis went to a few banks in the CBD area to enquire some of the financial advice. After hearing all those advice from the bankers,I realised that we as early as 20s have to save early and ensure that our $$$ will grow, eg, like doing investments and purchasing financial products.
I guessed I need to brush up my financial knowledge as there is a whole lot which I don't really understand. This is to ensure that I can manage my finances in the long run..Haha..Money is very practical nowadays.
So ppl, start saving NOW!

I also did something today. I was cajoled and somehow persuaded by her in doing this. I shouldn't talk much about that. Shy. Anyway, i was glad that it was done and I am satisfied by the outcome=X

I am back in action after sucha long time.

There are many things and stuffs which I want to say.
" Its judgement day! after that, its independence day !" -an sms from my fren.
Yeah, my exams are officially over and I am feeling very ecstatic right now. Its really a torturing wait of 4 days before my last paper as most of my frenz have already finished their exams. The wait is really tormenting=X
After the last paper, me and my group of frenz went to JP to have dinner. We had a difficult time in deciding what to eat. Between Swensens and Pizza Hut. After much deliberation, we chose the latter.
Ordered the set meal for 4 and had a whole feast of pizzas. Argh...need to exercise again after consuming so much food!!! Well, its post-exams period and I can enjoy to the fullest=X
I have a whole list of things to do.
OMG..I really need to plan my schedule and be an organised person.
Anyways, regarding the exams. I have really nothing to say actually.
All I can say is to pray hard and hope that the grades will turn out well.
Ok.

1) Need to find a job while doing my intersem. I shouldn't just waste my time and just study. $$$ is very important nowadays. Money is not everything but without money u are nothing! Money is the root of evil and I really believed so. It has caused so much upheaval in the society.
Decided to give a shot in the service sector so I will be working at Fish And Co. My friend is also working there as the assistant manager so she can guide me. I am sure it will be a rewarding experience. I hope!!!

2) Learning driving. I am gonna to study real real hard for the BTT even though its easy to pass. Never mind, Failure comes before success. If u never fail before, u wont understand the feeling of success. My sis has already taken a few practical lessons and doing pretty well. I am sure I can do just as well as her=X
Good luck to me on 17th May.

3) Watching korean and hongkong dramas. Anybody has discs to spare or nice drama titles to recommend??

4) Learning how to cook a few decent dishes to equip myself with some of the cooking skills. Been wanting to try out a few eateries, like Shokodu at the basement of Raffles city, the Big O cafe at Weelock PLace, Bakerzin, New York New York, and the many jap outlets at Central=X

5) Gathering with frenz. Diana when are ur exams going to end? Xian, Val and Carl too. I know Sab should be free by now. when is the 05S11 outing? haven seen u guys quite a while. Hope u are doing well.

6) Learn how to roller-blade well and stick to a fixed exercise regime.

Hello Ppl,

I have finished my biz finance quiz and I am feeling happie.
Was a bit not "satisfied" regarding the quiz.
Here goes, after the quiz, my fren sitting beside me says
" Are u sure this is the correct answer? "
As my answer was different from his, so I was a bit unsure, then I was wondering should I changed. Aiya, I tell myself he should be correct lo then I changed to his answer.
Then after that split second, I realized he was wrong and I was correct. The feeling was like Oh Man!!! Haha.
Anyway, after I explained to him. He feels bad though. Its okie=X
Two more quizzes next week and thats it.
The finals are coming=D Feeling the stress..Oh wow.

Went with Tian Tian -Zenith to have lunch at the sizzler @ suntec city. Really had a fun time chatting up on our secondary school days.
We were both feeling extremely full after the lunch buffet which consits of salads, soups, spaghetti, ice-creams, fruits and we ordered the main course too.
The "Singapore Spicy Chicken" and the "Grilled Dory Fish" were delicious!!!
The food was not too bad.
Worth going there with an empty stomach!
Wanted to try the Japanese version of Marche which I wanted to try as it was really tempting-Shokodu.

Firstly, i would like to say that I am relieved that I passed the quiz for the maths module which i SU.
Was really worried in the first place as i had a bad premonition that it wouldn't turn out as i expected.
However, thanks goodness I made it!!! Was really seriously relieved. thanks=D
Yupp, the school had a BHG bazaar.
I went there yesterday.
It was actually a charity sale. Many stuffs were on sale though. I went there with my frenz just to escape from the sweltering heat. The nanyang auditorium was indeed cooling.
Yupp, I met into sabrina and her group of frenz. she was like cajoling me into buying certain stuffs which I don't really want!
Haha..but I have to admit that the stuffs were indeed nice-looking and the prices were reasonable. Hee...
Finally, had the last biz lect for the sem and I was really happie.
The prof was very humorous as he gave a speech about morals before the start of the lect.
Here goes, the story about the tortoise and the hare..bla Bla.
Moral of Story : "tackle the situation instead of competing with your rival"
"the slow and steady wins the race but u have to be quick and efficient so as to survive in the long run"

Well, he has a point. Will reflect.

I had buffet lunch at the swisstotel Merchant Court last sunday to celebrate my cousin bdae .
There was a lot of food. I enjoy eating buffet once in a while as the range is food is very tempting. The desserts is the best part whereby I can savour the cakes at one go. I have yet to try the Fullerton Hotel Choc Buffet. Anybody interested?? I am quite a big eater..hehe. However, imagine the kilos of weight that u would gain after that puts me off.
So I must exercise after that.

Wonderful Good Friday!!!

Today was a fufilling day. Our family arranged a dim sum lunch at Crystal Jade @ Ngee Ann City. It has been a long time since we last had dim sum. Since I am from a canton family, its natural that I love to eat dim sum.
We had the po lo bao, siew mai, chee cheong fun, egg tarts, dumplings, century egg congee and many more mouth-watering dim sum.
I am a dim sum lover=D
Then, later in the afternoon, my cousins and I decided to catch a movie.
Therefore, I suggested going to Cathay as the place is very spacious and we can get our tickets easily.
We have a few movies in mind, The Orphanage, Step Up 2, The spiderwick Chronicles, Waterhorse. Couldn't make up our mind.
To our disappointment, there were no seats. Have seats but its in the first row.
Arghh...its always like that when we watch movies in town.
Sad Sad...Wanted to watch the horror movie Orphanage badly!!!
Then, my sis decided to have a change of plans. She suggested we go ice-skating at the newly opened KALLANG LEISURE PARK.
we made our way there.
The place was spacious however the ice-skating rink was too small. I was expecting a football field size. The overwhelming crowd also turn us off.
We decided to catch a movie instead.
Watched the spiderwick of chronicles. It was a nice movie with fantasy elements in it.
I kindda like to watch such movie genres, besides romantic ones.

Today is a Thursday!!!
I have basic no theory and biz finance lect.
It seems that I cant concentrate and focus during lects.
Its driving me crazy.( I noticed I always use this phrase, do I??)
Three more weeks to the finals and I will be year 2.
Gotta achieve something in life, u know.
However, there is a piece of sad news. Even though, it is something not very glamorous budden I feel that I should share with my frenz.
The news is " I didn't pass my BTT !!!".
This happened last two weeks. When I know the result on the spot, I feel so despondent. In my previous posts, I did mention that I went for the tutorial and e-trial and yet I didn't make it.
At that point of time, I feel super duper sad. Coz my sis who also took the BTT passed.
I am not jealous of her. I feel happie for her.
I will not take things for granted and sometimes hard work does not equal success.
I came across an interesting quote today.

Happie Happie Happie!!!
This is because my HW111A mastering communication module's presentation is finally over!!!
I love this moment. Now, my mind is at ease and I can focus on my studies.
This module has been bothering me as this is an auto-SU subject which means it is a pass/fail grade. Anyway, Its over only for the...time being.
There is still the final quiz!!! Its has been such a long time since I last presented such stuff as I am a maths major, thus we seldom give presentations unless we take business modules.
I was actually quite nervous as my teacher is going to video-tape the whole process of our presentation. Oh gosh..!!! U see. Thats why I get the nervous jitters.
Anyway, I just braved my way through and get it done.
It reminds me of my JC PW days when we have fun collecting info, conducting interviews, doing drafts over and over again. Hahahaha...
Anyway, I am still wondering should i study for special sem, which means study for 5 weeks during the three months break...
I am still thinking.....

Just had my mid-term today and i feel so relaxed i would say, coz i SU that maths module.I really cant take it coz its really too un-understandable!!!
Busy with HW111A presentation. I really hate this and hoping that it will be over soon. I cant wait!!!
This week I have been feeling rather dejected coz of my quiz and other stuffs in my mind. I know this is a mini quiz and its only 3%. Well..I shouldn't be too upset about it.

I had a fulfilling and an eventful Friday.
Even though the day started slightly bad, it turned out great at the end of the day.
I woke up at 620am for my 830 lesson. That is not the usual time that i wake up.
For such early days, i will wake up at 5.50-6.00. I have no idea why I overslept.
Never mind as i said, I reached boon lay just in time to meet Jocelyn for school.
After that, we were saying that we were feeling hungry and i told her that the most important meal of the day is breakfast so during our lect break, we went to buy bread and hot tea with milk.
And In fact, the hot tea with milk at canteen A was wonderful!!! Very refreshing budden still slightly lower in standard from ya kun kaya toast or toast box. THeir milk tea is not comparable.
Well, after a hearty breakfast, I feel energetic and was very focused for the entire day as I have 5 consecutive hrs of lesson on friday which was very crucial that I stay alert and concentrated !！！
Another thing worth mentioning is my another elective besides biz finance, it is linguistics. it is the study of human languages. when i take this module, I feel that i am going back to pre-school whereby im learning all the nouns, pronouns, verbs,prepositions, adverbs,adjectives and etc. Does it ring a bell??? Haha. vERY kindergarten learning rite. Budden, it was quite fun and enjoyable. Language is a fun and great module to take up. Btw, iam now learning how to draw trees-its abt syntax.
PHONETICS will be up next. IF U ppl are interested, i will share more!!!
Then, fri luncH would be subway for me again!!! On fridays, i will always make a trip down to raffles city's subway to purchase the cold-cut trio and their white chip cookies. I think is my sis who influenced me.
I cant wait for the opening of subway in my sch. I am craving over their breakfast. It looks realli delicious.
Then, I had my e-trial lesson at the comfort driving centre. This is the last revision before the test on nxt wed. I tried 2 tests and I failed. Then I tried the third test, I failed again. Budden, I tried the second time again, I finally passed 94%. Very depressing budden I will study hard for the real BTT. Btw, I SAW bernie at a distance from me at the driving centre. i didnt call her.
Oh my goodness, am I bad? Oh my goodness, am I bad? I wanted to call her and say hi budden i was engaged on the phone. haha...anyway, we are in the same school so we still have chances to meet up.

An eventful Friday indeed. Many assignments, quizzes and datelines to meet. Go Go Go Eileen. The weekend is here. time for exercise!!!

Yesterday was my first ever basic tut lesson for driving.
Was in a total mess.
This was my first time there and me and my sis have troubles finding the location.
We were wondering , which room exactly it is???
I said : " Just look around and ask for directions ! , I don't wanna be embarrassed!!! ".
My sis replied , " ok, relax! ".
I was feeling frustrated yet worried. Well well, then we went level three and saw many people over there.
So we presumed, the tutorial class should be there. To my horror, there were actually many people learning driving. I guessed Im too slow.
Then, we entered the room. The atmosphere was a bit wrong coz there were many ppl and it was as if, they were preparing to take the real test.
Then, we walked out to avoid embarrassment. Then, we asked one of the person over there for the location of the room. Then, he said it was that room which we walked out from.
Total Embarrassment!!! Ha. Anyway, Im thick-skinned too so I just went in again with my sis.
That day was raining, I was feeling cold. The air-con in the room made me feel even colder. We were freezing in the room! Super Duper Cold!
We were bombarded with 50 MCQ questions to practice. One qs allows 8 secs. Everybody did quietly without any discussion.
At the end of the test, I scored 35/50, which means failed. The instructor says the passing grade is 45.
I failed terribly. Anyway, this was a revision. I really gotta read up.

I have 2 quizzes cum 1 basic theory test next week. Help!!! Gimme the power and strength.

I am feeling slightly guilty right now.
This is because I skipped two lessons today. hw111A tut and my biz finance tut.
I am really really really sorry for skipping those two tuts.If not I wont be able to bump into Diana at Tampines Mall. what a coincidence!!!
Sorry to my frenz, Joce, Lauren and Khai Sing for not being able to help out in the presentation even though we need to present the outline only. My apologies!!! I will definitely put in 200% hard work for the real presentation.
Sorry to Sheryl for not going to the biz tut too. This is my first and my last. I promise.
U ppl must be wondering what made me skipped those two tuts?? well..I went to attend my good fren's presentation in TP. She had a FYP presentation and invited me to attend. It has been ages since I last met her so I just say yes.
Well, it was worth it. I went there with my another fren and she bring me around TP.
As she is also the student there, of course it makes things easier.
The environment was superb. So much greenery, I wished NTU was like that.
I feel so relaxed as I entered TP. My worries are all gone.
Back to the topic, have u ppl heard of Second Life??
Its a type of software. I didn't know of it until today. It was really an eye-opening experience. Zenith is really pro in her IT. Indeed, I was impressed by her work and her fellow BIT frenz.
Business cum information technology is an important tool for today's economy=D
Well Well, back to studies, I must work hard work hard.

The 1 week recess week has ended in the blink of an eye.
Everything is back to normal once again. Printing lect notes, going lect, doing tuts and preparing for quizzes and stuff like that. Having high hopes of yourself doesn't necessarily mean u will succeed.
Handwork + Effort = Success?? Does this equation always hold true in everything we do. the attitude counts too!!!
Well well..I am saying all these coz I had a bad day today as I made a lot of careless mistakes in the quiz today.
I have always been known to be a conscientious person who checks her work but i prove them wrong.
I can be CARELESS too. Well, I taking this matter too hard. Relax Eileen=D
Anyway, during the break, I did a lot of video watching of My Girl online.
I think I spend 2 and a half days watching that show. I managed to complete it. Sab told me its an old show. Ha, its a great romantic Korean drama. How I wished I can watch all the lovely-dovely Korean dramas at one go. Oh my god, going crazy too!!!
Their songs also captivates me. I love listening to Korean songs.
Then, met up with Xian, Diana, Sab, Val and Carlene for lunch at Thai Express.
It seems that Valr is a regular customer. Haha..If im a person who is not scared of spiciness, I would surely love Thai food too=X
Donuts have never been tasted so nice before.

It has been a week since I last blogged.
Okie.some updates for the week.

Maths tuts have been good for linear algebra, calculus 2, linguistics.
However, things have not been going smoothly for the maths module MAS 214- Basic No. Theory..Its not basic though. There is a lot of P&C questions. I cant stand it!!!
And so does the Biz finance. I really need to do a lot of catching up. Ha.
Today had my first ever mid-term in sem 2. I would say its not too bad, at least I get to attempt all the questions and even have the time to check it.

I saw Ken on the bus today while I was on my way to school. He says he is heading to Sentosa for camp outing. I commented : " wow...so early!!! ".
Then he replied: " my friend arranged one and he will just go there and slack ". Wahaha...then we chatted a lot of things. I asked him hw is he doing now and what are the guys doing now too. Hee..quite fruitful. At least, I know that most of them are still "surviving" in the army. Some are leading quite a relaxing life. opps...THen i heard that yi hao injured then relieved from his duties or arrange to do administrative work. Well..most of them are doing fine and Im glad. Then ken says he will always be sent overseas for missions. He went Taiwan, Thailand and Brunei. I asked him is life as a commando and being posted overseas tough not. He says they get to enjoy..well army is not as bad as I think. Get to enjoy and he says he love Taiwan. Me too..I love Taiwan too. pLS arrange another 05S11 gathering, I missed the previous one=D Sad!!!

Okie, then my CNY is quite fun too. I collected quite a handful of angbaos too. I opened on the last day of new year. I followed the tradition strictly. Hee...got money to save and spend a bit too. Anyway, my kick-boxing has ended. Haha...cannot sweat anymore and learn all those powerful and defensive punches. Hee...will go for other activities. I guessed i will be busy for CurL stuff as the actual event gets nearer. Sabrina, u must go. Co-curricular activities is important and crucial. Must go must go...no excuses!!!

Today I just had my biz finance presentation. I was in the first group. Of course, being a newbie, there would definitely be nervous jitters. As in this is my first business module. Well, actually I had a difficult time doing the questions so I thought I would be in deep trouble. My fren, Sheryl also had no idea hw to do. Therefore......I go and ""disturb"" Siow Wen late in the night. Wahaha...I asked her repeatedly how to do and prayed that she knows. Well, heaven is kind to me afterall, as she can do the question and I even called up to ask her to explain to me.

Finally, I understood=D

Heaved a sigh of relief. The previous tutorial group came really prepared as they present their answers using powerpoint. Hahaha...hw I know?? Sheryl and I peeped outside the door and see what are they presenting and looked at their solutions for cross-referencing. Hahaha...was indeed kinda pathetic. Then , the initial group of 5 people became reunited. Every single of my group members came today and they even came prepared with the answers. One of my frenz, actually got hold of the detailed and clear solutions. Very Funny.

In the end, everybody including me presented the solutions by writing on the board and It went well. Looking forward to the nxt biz finance tutorial as there is

There goes another session of kick-boxing. There was so much kicking around. I guessed I am much fitter now. Well...I still stick to my principle that Health Is Wealth. However, my ebbs( is that how u spell it??) hurts. Anyway, its simply the abdomen. Just knew that Sab is also taking up the so called free-style and self-defence testing. Hahaha...like preparing for emergency like that. U know that kind of civil defence. Are u sure u sign up the correct thing?? Wahahaha.

Anyway, today my biz finance lec was not good. I didn't manage to catch what is the lecturer talking about. Oh gosh...I really need help. And there will be maths quiz nxt week. Come on Eileen. Its time to be SERIOUS!!!

These days have been fun.
Met up with Sabrina on Friday nite to chit-chat and have dinner. Was really fun.
I did some incredulous thing that no one will do. (I guessed she knows what am I talking about). Nowadays, I have been seeing her quite a number of times in school and I think its great.
Actually, I do missed and I say I really missed 05S11. We are such a unique, nice, fun-loving and great class. A pity I did not go for the class gathering. I hope Chao Liang will organise another one again. Ha.

A glimpse of what I have done this week:
Mon- three consecutive tutorials starting from 830-1130. Wow, so chiong rite. Anyway, it is not as tiring as I expected. However, one of the tutors flared up and everyone was rather taken aback. I think he has mood swings. I do like the other two tutors.
Tues- attended the calculus lect and think that I am starting to hate calculus. Oh pls don't do this to me. Its really a torture listening to the lecture for 2 hours and not understanding a single bit of it. That is really pathetic!!! How i wished it wasn't me. I feel lost. Anyway, its over and tml will be a better day.
Well, the biz finance tut was manageable just that I seriously need to read up and understand the concepts. There are just too much calculations. Val did u take this mod?? Ha. FV, PV, PMT, INT, annuity due, ordinary annuity, loans.....
Lesson ended at 730pm. After that, went with Jocelyn and Sheryl for dinner at JP.
Ate LJS, the grill set 2 is only so so...budden the fries are good lo.

Had kick-boxing today. It was really fun fun and fun.
I sweated a lot. The instructor was realli fit and she had a strong physique.
Well, exercising has made me feel energetic and refreshed. I feel totally fit!!!
Hope that I will quickly slim down and look good during Chinese new year.
Oh..Dear, all the good food, good company and the atmosphere.
I just love Chinese New Year. The decor, the goodies, new clothes, visiting, mahjong and the ang pows.

Third day In Taiwan-Still at the Shangri-La Farmstay Resort

The morning air was fresh and crisp. I think if I would have to stay there, my life span will increase coz the air is really clean. I love nature and the view is magnificent coz we are at the top of the mountain. We had a bird's eye view of the entire yilan city. Fruit-picking is also possible. The fruits that can be picked during the December season are mainly small oranges. like ju zhi. Had a fun-filled time exploring the park and nature reserve. The scenery was picturesque.

Second Stop: DanShui Market

Again, it was another market selling all kinds of stuffs ranging from the steel eggs to the caps and to the fish balls. On top of that, a shop sells ice-cream for like 3 scoops and then its only $1.50. Soo...Cheap!!! A typical scene that I saw is that there were many school children. Probably, they were hanging around after school and I noticed that they like to patronise the gaming shops. The market has numerous stalls of them. Its like a mini game zone. Many soft toys and cute cute stuffs that ppl can win. Thats Taiwanese culture. Singapore doesn't have it. Such a pity.

Had steamboat as dinner. It was unexpectedly spicy. Coz I didn't want spicy want but don't know what happened, my soup has been added chilli by the tour guide coz he goes around asking ppl whether they wants chilli not. So what is the result for eating that??

A piece of good news=X=X I have joined many activities and learnt many new stuffs this year!!!

Firstly ,I have picked up kick-boxing much to the persuasion of my friend. She has been persuading me and I finally give in as I thought it would be good to take some time off my hectic schedule to exercise and sweat out. After all, it should be a rigorous sport and can help me reduce weight. Well, I am looking forward to it.
Yeah.

Secondly, after countless of empty talks and empty promises,I managed to register for my driving but its only theory first. It is like finally!!! All thanks to the urge to achieve something in life before I turn the big 20. Oh...5 months away. Hopefully, I can pass the theory test and move on to the practical and then the officially driving license. Bless Me. I need to work extremely hard this year. And I meant it.

Thirdly, I am also glad that my life has been exciting and colourful ever since the year started. I hope that new year will have new beginnings. Toast to the New Year. And Chinese New Year is around the corner. I love this festival the most coz I can fully indulged myself by feasting and fooling around.

Lastly, Im LOVIN Uni life. IT has been so fun-filled. Many activities going around. I look forward to each schooling day. Some of the things that happened has made me feel stronger and braver than what I think. I will continue to live by each day by living to the fullest and cherish every single moment=D

Alright, welcome to the second day of my Taiwan Trip.

First stop :Chiu Fen

Its actually an old district whereby there are 9 family dwellers who settled there and it became Chiu Fen. I hope my explanation will pass. Taiwan is a place not only famous for its scenery but also its local products and shopping. The tour guide took us to a shop that sells "Muah Chee" and other food products. It seems that "Muah Chee" is a famous local product and it comes with many flavours. The part where I dislike is that even vehicles can be driven in to the narrow alleys. Wow, I find it kind of ridiculous and dangerous. Well, It cant be helped. Im also terrified by the abundance of dogs in Taiwan. Im scared of dogs due to a traumatic experience which happened in Hong Kong. Alright, I wont go into details. That is not the main point.

Second Stop :Yangmingashan Hot Spring

Hot Spring!!!! I have nvr been to a sauna before let alone a hot spring. I am definitely going to give it a shot. Immersing myself in the hot water while admiring the surrounding mountainous scenery and with the cooling weather itself. The combination is superb. The thought of it makes me drool. Even in Singapore when I saw the advertisement featuring Jolin in the hot spring, I have always imagined myself to be in her shoe. Wow, It came true. As no photos are allowed, my sister only managed to take a few shots after the hot spring and the scenery. The tour guide says immersing in the hot spring is beneficial to our complexion as sulphur was added and many many natural minerals=D

Third Stop :Smelly Tofu Street

After lunch, we were told to walk another street that is famous for its smelly. Indeed, it lived up to its name. The smell was overpowering. My cousin cant stand it and feel like puking now and then. Not only one stall is selling that, the entire street similar stalls selling the tofu. The tofu is like immersed in 100% hot spicy chili oil. oo..I feel so disgusted. Budden, this is Taiwan culture so I cant be so offensive. Those who are the adventurous and daring type should give it a try. Im sure it will be a memorable food.

Fourth Stop: Shangri-La Farmstay Hotel Resort

Its a farmstay!!! I havent lived in a farm before. Well, this should be an eye-opening experience. The hotel resort is located at the top of a mountain and can u imagine the arduous journey when the bus drove us there. It was so steep. Luckily, the driver was good and skillful and he safety brought us there. Well Done..Little Bee. Thats what the tour guide "Danny" called him. Hehe..there are many activites lined up for the night, including the making of glutinous rice balls, playing of tops, playing fire crackers which was prohibited in Singapore, sparkles and flying of laterns( they called it "tian deng" ). Wow, what a fun-filled night. I really had a great time over there expect for the living conditions as there are many insects. Even in our room, there are like 5 insects!!!

Early in the morning 6 O'clock, Eileen wake up so early just to attend CCA.

Was actually giving out flyers. Notices for newspaper collection on next Sunday 13 Jan. Went to boon lay just to put flyers into letter boxes. I must be feeling mad and very mad. Well, others may think I am crazy, travel all the way from the east to the west just to give out flyers. Ok. I admit Im mad. However, I feel that Im responsible as I am committed to my CCA -Welfare Services club. Its has been a rather interesting event but the only and one and only thing i regretted is that I missssssed my morning jog at ECP.

I missed that most. Hope that the jogs near my house will make amends for it. Alright. A Promise.

The long awaited Taiwan 7 days 6 nights trip is finally here. I'm filled with exhilaration and excitement. Its a tour guided trip and the best thing I like about guided tour is that their itinerary is always so enticing and full of activities thus we don't have to rack our brains to decide which places to go, where to eat and stuff like that. Guided tour helps us to settle them=X Listening to the tour guide talking is also quite interesting and enabled us to gain new insights. OKie...enough of the short intro, now I'm embarking on the first day of my Taiwan trip. Taiwan Here I Come:)

Btw, I'm taking China Airlines flight and the plane I seriously say is not too bad. Spacious seats, great food and the service is good too. Now I wont be bias against any China Airlines. Oh well...gosh I have to change my perception. After the 4 and a half hour flight, me and my family arrived at Taoyuan International Airport. The weather was cooling, temperature was at 18 degrees Celsius and not as cold or windy as I expected. The airport was ok only, not as goody as our Changi International Airport, that is one aspect that makes me feel proud as a Singaporean. Yeah! Our Spore tour guide is called Jia Wen and the Taiwanese tour guide is called 'Danny'. Funnily its called ""Teh Ni"" He asked us to call him xiao diao instead. Weird, always whenever I go travelling, the names of the tour guides is always very funny.
Time now is around 8 plus and my stomach is rumbling. Cant wait for all the delicious food sold in the night markets..(saliva dripping) We checked in to our first hotel- Evergreen. The location is fantastic. Wait till u see the pics then u know why.

-First Stop: Keelung Night Market
We have to settle our dinner here. Looks like in Taiwan they wont bao all the dinners coz there are really too many mouth-watering street snacks or us to savour.
There are really many many many different kinds of food like smelly bean curd, desserts, pig blood, toast, oyster, hot dogs, sotong balls etc.

I ate strawberry shave just to cool down myself as It was kind of hot. Hahaha and some lotus green bean and tried hot dogs which was not that fantastic as I was feeling a bit of exhausted. Btw, we have to make our way back to the hotel ourselves as no transport was provided. Thus, me and my cousins have to make our way back ourselves with the help of the map. Wow, makes us feel independent.

Time now is 1130pm and we need get up at 530am. Morning call is at 6am. Tml would be the hot spring and the Shangri-la farmstay. Will update the second day later as there are too much to say. Hahaha..

Hello ppl,

2007 is coming to a close and I just returned from Taiwan!!! The trip was fantastic. Its has been a roller coaster ride for me. I experienced ups and downs. However, when I reflect back, I think that a person's life cannot be that smooth sailing. We should be able to taste sourness,sweetness, bitterness and hotness. So end in a short and simple way. I wish everbody including my family, my friends, ppl in the whole world and me myself to enjoy good health, world peace, and splendid year 2008!!!

Cheers to year 2008!!! Fa Fa Fa....

To everybody Merry Xmas!!!

Christmas day is the day to celebrate the birth of Jesus and where there are gift exchange, good food and great company. X'mas is one of the greatest holiday that I love so much. I will be flying to Taiwan in less than 6 hours. Really cant contain my excitement and joy for the trip.

Till Now, I hope that everybody will have a wonderful year ahead and I am ready to usher to the year 2008!!! Good Health.

And here is a wonderful email that I received. I hope that everybody will take some time to reflect.

Subject: THE SEED - Very good story

A successful business man was growing old and knew it was time to choose a successor to take over the business. Instead of choosing one of his directors or his children, he decided to do something different.

He called all the young executives in his company together. "It is time for me to step down and choose the next CEO," he said. "I have decided to choose one of you."

The young executives were shocked, but the boss continued. "I am going to give each one of you a seed today - a very special seed. I want you to plant the seed, water it, and come back here one year from today with what you have grown from the seed I have given you. I will then judge the plants that you bring, and the one I choose will be the next CEO."

One man, named Jim, was there that day and he, like the others, received a seed. He went home and excitedly, told his wife the story. She helped him get a pot, soil and compost and he planted the seed.

Every day, he would water it and watch to see if it had grown. After about three weeks, some of the other executives began to talk about their seeds and the plants that were beginning to grow. Jim kept checking his seed, but nothing ever grew.

Three weeks, four weeks, five weeks went by, still nothing. By now, others were talking about their plants, but Jim didn't have a plant and he felt like a failure.

Six months went by - still nothing in Jim's pot. He just knew he had killed his seed. Everyone else had trees and tall plants, but he had nothing. Jim didn't say anything to his colleagues, however. He just kept watering and fertilizing the soil - he so wanted the seed to grow.

A year finally went by and all the young executives of the company brought their plants to the CEO for inspection. Jim told his wife that he wasn't going to take an empty pot. But she asked him to be honest about what happened.

Jim felt sick at his stomach. It was going to be the most embarrassing moment of his life, but he knew his wife was right. He took his empty pot to the board room. When Jim arrived, he was amazed at the variety of plants grown by the other executives. They were beautiful--in all shapes and sizes. Jim put his empty pot on the floor and many of his colleagues laughed. A few felt sorry for him!

When the CEO arrived, he surveyed the room and greeted his young executives. Jim just tried to hide in the back. "My, what great plants, trees, and flowers you have grown," said the CEO. "Today one of you will be appointed the next CEO!"

All of a sudden, the CEO spotted Jim at the back of the room with his empty pot. He ordered the financial director to bring him to the front. Jim was terrified. He thought, "The CEO knows I'm a failure! Maybe he will have me fired!"

When Jim got to the front, the CEO asked him what had happened to his seed. Jim told him the story. The CEO asked everyone to sit down except Jim. He looked at Jim, and then announced to the young executives, "Here is your next Chief Executive! His name is Jim!"

Jim couldn't believe it. Jim couldn't even grow his seed. How could he be the new CEO the others said? Then the CEO said, "One year ago today, I gave everyone in this room a
seed. I told you to take the seed, plant it, water it, and bring it back to me today. But I gave you all boiled seeds; they were dead - it was not possible for them to grow. All of you, except Jim, have brought me trees and plants and flowers.

"When you found that the seed would not grow, you substituted another seed for the one I gave you. Jim was the only one with the courage and honesty to bring me a pot with my seed in it. Therefore, he is the one who will be the new Chief Executive!"

Moral:
If you plant honesty, you will reap trust

If you plant goodness, you will reap friends.

If you plant humility, you will reap greatness.

If you plant perseverance, you will reap contentment

If you plant consideration, you will reap perspective.

If you plant hard work, you will reap success.

If you plant forgiveness, you will reap reconciliation.

So, be careful what you plant now; it will determine what you will reap later.

Festive Shopping!!!

I realized Singaporeans are realli big big BIG spenders. Their consumer expenditure is very high. Orchard Road is especially thronged with crowds and people can be seen everywhere, carrying bags and bags and more bags. They buy things as if there are price-less(I mean no price attached to them). Well, I agree Singaporeans are rather rich and affluent. Sigh..I bet the retailers must be busy counting the cash notes...haha. Well, for xmas I did get myself some a present-TAIWAN Trip.

I am looking forward to it. 2 more days. Holidays are the Best!!!

Recently ,I have been watching the Taiwanese drama -The Romantic Princess. The drama is not too bad。 A bit of Enchanted and Goong elements in there. Worth to watch!!! If u are a Taiwanese fan, go watch it. Well, since im going to Taiwan, i gotta cultivate and immerse myself in the Taiwanese Culture. Moreover, Wu Zhun is so dashing and Angela Zhang is so captivating. I quite like both of them.

However, they still cant compare to my HK dramas. I have been hooked on them all these while on youtube and SCV. I love HK actors and actresses. All of them really have superb acting skills. Some of the HK dramas I have watched so far.

Thats all for now. Yupp..Watching TV Dramas is the best leisure activity other than engaging in exercise that one can do.

We "lost" our house keys!!! My Dad told us that he had lost his set of house keys and hence everybody embarked on a search. My mother was frantically searching for the keys and also asked me to join in. I was in the middle of watching the HK tv drama-"When The Rules Turn Loose". Can U imagine?? I was kinda irritated budden finding the keys is much impt as it can lead to serious consequences. The show is about lawyers and some romance, As usual but I love to watch HK dramas probably Im a Cantonese and somehow attracted to such dramas. After much effort, my Dad finally managed to find the keys. We heaved a sign of relief!!!

Weekends are great!!! I have the TV shows, going out with family and simply enjoying my leisure times at home and outside. As usual, Me, my sister and my dad went East Coast Park Way to jog. It has always been a routine to go jogging on sunday. I hope to make it a MUST for me to exercise at least twice a week to maintain my fitness and simply to keep healthy. Whenever I go ECP, Im always filled with amazement with the minority of the Singaporeans who bother to sacrifice their Sunday's mornings just to exercise.

Most of the joggers are male but there seems to be an increasing trend for females too. Those ppl over there who sacrifice their precious sleep or should I say setting aside time admist their busy schedules just to exercise and sweat it out. Exercising can also be a form of releasing stress. Even though, when I exercise I admit I do feel a bit strenous and tired. Perhaps, my stamina is not too good. However, Im determined to train my stamina!!! I really believed exercising helps. It somehow makes me feel that if I exercised, I will be healthy. Eating the right food is also crucial. I hope I practiced what I preached=X Ha.

Enough of all the facts of life. I really do hope those who are reading this post will set aside time to exercise. coz....

Hellooo ppl.....

It has been a while since i last updated my blog. The previous entry was my family day @ Botanical Gardens. Guessed that some of u must be amazed and captivated by the nature that Singapore has preserved. kudos To the National Parks for making Singapore a garden city. Thats right!!Exams are over and this is the start of my third week of holidays. The past two weeks have been filled with gatherings, out-goings, eating, playing, watching videos online + watching my newly subscribed SCV and many many more. Yepp...thats how my life goes after uni exams. Even though, I am not working like some of my frenz out there-slogging hard and earning cash and being able to buy the things with their hard-earned money. I admit that I am not as hard-working as them who are eager to work. I have the intention to work but I still do not have the working mentality whereby I will be stick to a 9-5 job and then facing all the pressure. How I wish****. However, I do have dreams and goals in life. I am not going to pass my days so unmeaningfully. During the hols, I attended one of my CCA activities known as the car-washing funds raising event. Washing Prof's cars to raise funds for our CurL's 2008 programme and I made a few wonderful frenz too. However, the weather has been bad these few days and our car-washing efforts have gone down the drain. I am not dismayed by that. Yupp, there will be more canvassing and gatherings coming up for my CCA and I am excited=D I also met up with my TPJC calligraphy frenz and we had a fun time on that day. When we met up, we always had to eat Jap Cuisine..haha. Not too bad, this shd be the way. Then, last of all, my beloved JC mates, we finally met up to celebrate Xian Hui's bade. Happie 19th Bdae!!! We are a bunch of "playful gals" as most of us have grown up to be. Time really flies. Actually, I hope to have another 05S11 class gathering whereby everybody can get together and reminisce the times when we are in JC=X Miss them!!!

And me and my NTU Peeps also had a sumptuous steamboat feast. That nite, I also enjoyed myself tremendously. The steamboat cum Chocolate Buffet was great. Thanks to sheryl's recommendation. Hope to go there again. I am glad to have such wonderful frenz in my uni life. Love u guys=D And with the help of one of our friend's car, we decided to go to Mount Faber to gaze into the sky and chit-chat. Wonderful Nite and Wonderful Frenz.

Lastly, this xmas day is also the day when me and my family are leaving for Taiwan. This is my first trip to Taiwan and I am very exhilarated about it. WOW Wow wow...definitely gotta enjoy myself. After, good health, travelling is my next best wish-list in life...Yeah.

Haha..just being lame. Alright, first thing first.I would say Im rather pleased today coz my sis bought a new bag for me.
She got her first ever paycheck after slogging for three years of studying.
Her paycheck is 'fat' though.
Working life is great in some sense, budden it also depends on the working environment and the company.
She works in Citigroup.
Got loads of privileges.
Then tml would be Family Day at BoTANical Gardens.
Haven being there for a veri long time.
Time to let loose and immerse in the greenery...

Doughnuts again!!! The fourth time Im eating doughnuts within 2 months.
My fren and I went to queue for the very first time at the outlet at SunTec City.
It was a mere 20 mins wait..fortunately.
Sudar wanted to try them as she has the craving for them after seeing my doughnuts' pics. Haha..
Before that we went to catch Ratatouille. A wonderful movie and gave me a few tips in life.
Anyone can "cook" is the same as saying that nothing is impossible in this world provided we give our very best shot in whatever we do.

Two mid-term tests next week. I need lots and lots of motivation..where are u???

1745- Reached home after 2 lectures and learnt about logic gates and Travelling SalesMan Problem.
1750- Cook Rice.
1800- Change into my exercise attire and prepare to go jogging.
1815- Went out of the house and as usual jog 6 rounds. Feeling fit and healthy.
1910- Reached home and prepare to have my dinner.
1930- Felt something was wrong as my vision became blurry and realized that there are earthquake tremors.
1931- Quickly squat down(as what normally ppl will do). Feeling scared. Thought its my imagination.
1933- Then i settled down and get up my feet.
1940- Received Xian's message" hey, do u feel the tremors?" I confirmed my suspicion.
2000- so scary. Luckily singapore is relatively safe. Hope the world is alright!!!

And I accepted the position as a volunteer officer in NTU WSC(Welfare Services Club).
I am excited. Xiao wen and her friends are also in the SUB-cOMM..Yeah. Got company..
Need to start studying as I have two tests next week..chiong=D
